I see the following metrics under "Virtual Disk" at the VM level
Average read requests per second
Average write requests per second
They are defined on the VMWare docs as follows:
Average read requests per second: Average number of read commands issued per second to the virtual disk during the collection interval.
Average write requests per second: Average number of write commands issued per second to the virtual disk during the collection interval.
What are these metrics exactly?
are they read and write IOPS?
and what does it mean when the numbers (i.e average) show "Zero" for a VMDK over a specific period of time? does that mean there has been not been any read/write reqiests (or IOPS?).
