Morning all.
Keep this one short and sweet.
- VCenter 5.0.0
- vSphere ESXi 5.0.0 (4 hosts)
- Installed Self Signed SSL Cert into my VC so that domain connectivity doesnt have an SSL warning.
- Also installed a self signed SSL onto one of my 4 hosts (took it into maintenance mode and removed from cluster before doing so)
SSLs are installed happy days - I can browse to their home page in IE and see that the Cert is verified and doesnt come up with the red URL banner.
NOW:
When I try to re-add that host back into my enviromnet, I get the "a general system error occurred timed waiting for vpxa to start" error.
- This typically means a VM has a large snap or number of snaps. I've checked this and there was only one VM with a snap which has been deleted, consolidated and rebooted.
- Also rebooted my VC and all hosts and get the same error.
- If I remove another host from the cluster (one of the ones with the default SSL, it re-adds back into the VCenter with no error).
- Only my host with a new cert is creating the error? I've reloaded the host and I have the same issue, but DO need SSL signed hosts.
Any ideas?
