ESXi 5.1 & 5.0 - Core count ordinal for Hyperthread enabled Intel CPU's

OK, I think I asked this before, about 2 years ago maybe, but I can't remember what the answer was.

So here's the question....

In a 2 CPU host where each CPU has 4 cores for a total of 8 cores BUT with HT (Hyperthreading) enabled, for a total of 16 cores, how can you determine which core is HT and what is the ordinal?

I was thinking the ordinal went like this.....

CPU 0:

Core 0 = Real Core

Core 1 = HT Core

Core 2 = Real Core

Core 3 = HT Core

Core 4 = Real Core

Core 5 = HT Core

Core 6 = Real Core

Core 7 = HT Core

CPU 1:

Core 8 = Real Core

Core 9 = HT Core

Core 10 = Real Core

Core 11 = HT Core

Core 12 = Real Core

Core 13 = HT Core

Core 14 = Real Core

Core 15 = HT Core

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
