Hello,
I am facing a problem trying to use VLANs in Esxi. Here is the scenario.
An HP blade as the host.
An HP GbE2c Ethernet Blade Switch.
An Allied Telesis switch connecting the enclosure to the network.
VLAN1 – 192.168.1.0/24 (5 VMs).
VLAN2 – 192.168.2.0/24 (1 VM).
The 5 VMs residing in VLAN1 are using vSwitch0 in a portgoup named VM Network with VLAN ID 0. The VM in VLAN2 is using vSwitch0 in a portgroup named VLAN2 with VLAN ID 2. The port in the Ethernet blade switch where the Esxi host is connected is tagged allowing both VLANs 1 and 2 to pass. Also the uplink ports connecting the blade switch with the Allied switch are also tagged allowing both VLANs.
Am I doing something wrong? From the moment I change the port connecting the Esxi host to the blade switch to tagged, I lose the connections with all the VMs (MY PC is in VLAN1 connected to the Allied switch).
Thank you
