Limiting esxi to only see 32GB

Hi Guys,

New to the forum and so far I see a lot helpful knoledge being passed around.

I have a triple channel motherboad with 36GB (4GB x 9) of ram.  When I start ESXi and says my license is expired. When I pull the out 12GB of ram it runs fine. Is there a way to have ESXi only see 32GB?
