Hi everyone
I'm running ESXi v5.0 on a simple machine with only one hard disk. The guest OS (Ubuntu) started to find hard disk errors and know at some point of the boot process it stop. I know that the hard disk where ESXi is running is not in good state and I've got to change it, but I want to know if there is any way to run a kind of fsck on the ESXi console so the ESXi system tries to recover information on bad blocks and marked them as useless. I'm asking this because the guest OS backup it's from September 1st because the automatic backup stopped without notice and the reason of that stop was that the configuration files for the automatic backup cannot be read as result of this harddisk failure.
Thanks for any hint that someone could give me.
Regards. Santiago
