Hi,
i`m running five ESXi5-Hosts with two SANs. Now i wan`t to get these hosts and the SAN into our monitoringsystem, which wouldn`t be a big problem.
Buuut: The esxcli-Command only works on one of these hosts, esxcli always tells me "permission denied". The
Here`s the output from a working one:
[root@file trapperscripts]# esxcli -s 192.168.195.92 -u zabbix -p XYZ storage filesystem list

Lockdown-Mode is deactivated on every hosts while the ESXi-Shell-Service is running. My boss and me don`t understand why the command isn`t working
Here are the versions of VMWare i`m using:
Working server:
- VMWare ESXi, 5.0.0, 504890
The ones which doesn`t work:
- VMWare ESXi, 5.0.0, 768111
- VMWare ESXi,5.0.0, 504890
- VMWare ESXi,5.0.0, 623860
My esxcli is at version 5.1.0
At the tab "Events and Tasks" in my VSphere-Client, i can see that there`s an error-message that looks something like (sorry, my error-messages are in german) this, where 192.168.195.154 is the IP of my client from which the esxcli-request is sent:
User @192.168.195.154 can`t be logged in: Permission denied
I hope anyone can help me
Thanks in advance,
Thomas Salzberger senior
