I'm sure this is a simple question, but I can't seem to wrap my mind around how to approach this.
I want to create a Server 2003 VM with the OS on .vmdk using one of the Datastores. Then connect to a SAN volume from within Server 2003 using the iSCSI Initiator.
ESXI is connected to the EqualLogic via a dedicated iSCSI network on a different subnet. How do I connect the Server 2003 to the EqualLogic volume?
When I add a NIC to my Server 2003 VM it makes me choose from a vSwitch. The vSwitch I have to choose from are for my VM traffic or management traffic which I don't want mixing with iSCSI traffic. How do I go about add a NIC to Server 2003 that can communicate with the EqualLogic?
Thanks!
