I have tried everything. I am extremely frustrated on how to get past this beginner step...
Idea was, setup a debian box for nfs and use the nfs share as a datastore in esxi.
install debian, setup nfs-kernel-server
tried to mount via vshpere
i keep getting the following mesage:
Call "HostDatastoreSystem.CreateNasDatastore" for object "ha-datastoresystem" on ESXi "192.168.1.95" failed.
NFS mount 192.168.1.97:/esxi failed: The mount request was denied by the NFS server. Check that the export exists and that the client is permitted to mount it.
Ive looked everywhere and found very little on this subject.....I think its fairly beginner so no one will go into depth about how to do it step by step.. i think the share is good and the permissions are good however i dont know how to check either via the host or client side....
any help would be appreciated... I have tried alot of online how tos with no luck.
