Com port redirector for ESXi5

Hello

I need to redirect the com port from a Windows 2008 VM to a serial device.  Has anyone been successful doing this and what have you used?

I have purchased a Lantronix EDS4100 device to provide the IP to com port redirection.  You install a com port redirection software called CPR Manager on the VM to capture the com port.  Unfortunately this does not seem to be working and Lantronix says they will not support this type of setup.
