installing to HP P2000 SAS without local disks ?

Hello,

I am planning to buy HP Gen8 server(s) (probably DL160) with P2000 G3 storage array having SAS controller. I will use ESXi, do I need to have local disks on the servers ? Or is P2000 enough to install/boot ESXi ?

Is there any feature-wise limitation (on ESXi) of using SAS controller (comparing to FC or iSCSI controller) ?
