I'm attempting the simple task of replacing the NET-TG3.V00 in an ESXi 5.0 update 1 ISO, yet so far I haven't had any luck. I've tried a quick edit with WinISO, and the longer procedure from VMware detailed here, so far with no luck. In each case, upon boot, I'm presented with the error message "Could not populate the filesystem: Boot image is corrupted"
What is the simplest, most foolproof way to get this done?
For reference, I'm following this thread on running ESXi on the 2012 Mac Mini. I need to use the custom NET-TG3.V00 file listed in the thread. The source ISO I'm using came from ESXi-Customizer. It contains updated network drivers for the Mac Mini.
