We have an virtual machine that thinks it is using 100% CPU resources but the host only shows it using ~7%.
The vm seems limited to it's 100% usage. For example, running task manager uses 25-50% of of the available prociessing power.
The machine is a Windows 2008 64-bit server box. It was originally created in ESX 4.0 and on a Xeon Woodcrest (5160) based server. It was moved to a ESXi 5.0 environment on hosts with Xeon E5-2680 processors. I can't say if performance has been like this since it was moved as I did not do the move nor to I actively use the server.
Any ideas?
